Chocolate Marshmallow Fudge

So incredibly addictive. Recipe by Dio Essence.

Ingredients


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 3/4 cups marshmallows (I use mini)
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3/4 cups walnuts, chopped (optional)

Method


  1. Grease and line a loaf tin.
  2. Combine the sugar, salt, butter, cream and marshmallows and cook in a saucepan over a medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the butter and marshmallows are almost melted.
  3. Bring to the boil, and cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally . Remove from the heat.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla and stir until the chocolate has melted.
  5. Stir in 1/2 cup of the walnuts and pour the mixture into the prepared  tin. Top with the remaining walnuts.
  6. Cool the fudge at room temperature for at least 3 hours and cut into squares to serve.
