These soy roasted almonds are exactly like the Tamari packet ones you can buy, but a 1/4 of the price, such a simple yummy way to jazz up the old Almond .Recipe by Annabel Langbein
Ingredients
- 2 cups (300g) whole almonds
- 2 tbsp Japanese soy sauce (can use GF soy)
- 1 tbsp rice bran oil
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Place the almonds on a baking tray.
- Pour over the soy sauce and mix through.
- Add the oil and toss to coat.
- Roast almonds for approx 12-15 mins, until fragrant and crisp.
- Serve immediately or cool before storing in a sealed jar. They store for several weeks.
